Featured Animal Rescue:

The Dawg Squad which is an all-volunteer animal rescue working in the Los Angeles area. They rescue at-risk animals focusing on homeless and abandoned dogs providing medical care, rehabilitation and loving foster homes until a permanent, adoptive homes can be found.
All animals are spayed, neutered and micro chipped prior to adoption. To date this amazing group has rescued and placed over 1100+ animals in loving homes.

The Dawg Squad is an all-volunteer organization. It has no paid employees or salaried officers. They do not have an expensive shelter facility; we foster every animal in volunteers' homes or approved kennels before finding homes.

In addition to purchasing a pinups for pups calendar donations can be mailed directly to the Dawg Squad (just be sure to mention Pinups for Pups sent you!):

12 Tips for Responsible Owners

  1. Please take action to Spay or neuter your pet, you can prevent unwanted animals from a sad fate!
  2. Socialize you dog with other animals and humans so they behave properly
  3. Healthy eating and exercise is important to your dog too! Don't feed them table scraps and be sure they get plenty of play time.
  4. Statistically large black dogs are the least likely to get adopted, be different and give a large black dog a home!
  5. Reduce your risk and make sure your dogs leashes and collars are in good working order.
  6. Be respectful of people without pets, when out and about keep your dog on a leash at all times.
  7. Give your pet the gift of an I.D. tag. Make sure your animal ends up back home and not lost on the street or in the animal shelter.
  8. Take plastic bags to clean up after your dog on walks, be a responsible pet owner!
  9. Micro chip your pet, if they turn up at an animal shelter or vet all of your information will be right there with them
  10. Your family pet relies on you, please include your animals in your emergency disaster plan.
  11. Be sure to keep your pets up to date on all their vaccination so they can live the healthiest lives they can!
  12. Make sure you treat your dog as a member of the family - you wouldn't leave a family member outside or chain them up, would you?
